The laptop arrived with an institutional MDM lock from the previous owner (a university), which prevented personal setup. This type of lock can only be removed by the institution itself, and TechRefurb had to coordinate with them directly to resolve it. The laptop had to be returned for that purpose. The overall timeline was extended by shipping delays from DHL and UPS, not by the seller. TechRefurb resolved the issue the same day they received the laptop back and shipped it express.
